Welcome To First Baptist Church

First Baptist Church seeks to spread the truth of God's only Son, Jesus Christ throughout Gallipolis and the surrounding communities. God's love for his highest creation is manifested through his only begotten Son. The folks at First Baptist Church are ordinary people desiring to see this love become a reality in the life of all residents of our community, state, nation and world. We invite everyone to come and share with us in fellowship, study, worship, and service. Praise be to God for his awesome love for us.

Fellowship of Believers

Acts 2:46-47

Day by day continuing with one mind in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they were taking their meals together with gladness and sincerity of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord was adding to their number day by day those who were being saved.  (NASB)

  • We believe that the Holy Bible, the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments, as originally written was verbally and plenary inspired and the product of God through Spirit-controlled men and, therefore, is truth without any admixture of error for its matter.

  • We believe that there is one true and living God, Jehovah, eternally self-existent in three coequal Persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

  • We believe in the Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God; that he eternally co-existed co-equally with God and the Father and God the Holy Spirit.  We believe He lived a sinless life and died a vicarious and atoning death on the cross for man’s sins.
